Most readers of Hauteher know how much I love NYX products. Not only me, but most members of our review team also keep testing the offerings from the L’oreal Paris sub-brand. So far, we have only positive impressions of NYX products. Therefore, I am here today with another NYX review. For those who are wondering, let me clear that our reviews are not a paid promotion of beauty products from NYX or any other brand. Let’s get started with the NYX gotcha covered concealer review.
I loved the packaging of the NYX concealer. It comes in a squeezable tube with black and gold accents. You can carry the NYX gotcha covered concealer quickly due to its compact design. The best thing is that the container doesn’t push loads of cream. You can quickly get the right amount needed for your touchup. Most brands use light tubes that succumb to the pressure soon, and most of the time, create a mess. I also loved the sweet aroma of the concealer. It made me feel very fresh and happy.
The efficiency of NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer
You will feel the change in your skin from the very first use of NYX gotcha covered concealer. It hides the marks and discolored parts very naturally. The blemishes will look like they never existed on your face. I didn’t notice any creasing or dryness for almost 8 hours. However, the skin gets a unique glow because of the presence of coconut oil. NYX concealer also keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day.
NYX offers four shades of its gotcha covered concealer. Each shade blends perfectly with the corresponding skin tone. I have medium yellow-ish undertones, so I used the golden hue. I had no issues with the contrast of the cream. My makeup looked entirely subtle and natural. Let’s discuss the shades one by one.
Shades of NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer
Golden was the shade I tested for this review, and I am more than happy with this cream. The contrast of the NYX golden concealer complimented my undertones perfectly. I can recommend this product for caucasian or medium fair-skinned people.
For proper fair skin, medium olive concealer is the right choice. However, the medium olive shade is neither too fair nor too dark. Therefore, make sure to test it before purchasing it. If you have lighter undertones, you can choose the medium olive shade with closed eyes.
The ebony shade of NYX gotcha covered concealer is the faithful companion for dark skin. It is not the regular dark makeup shade that hides the acne. NYX ebony concealer adds the charm to already glowing dark skin.
The tan shade stays true to its name and gives you a tender sunkissed look. It is perfect for fair to medium tones. Caucasian skinned people can benefit the most from the NYX tan concealer.
Pros and Cons of NYX Concealer
- NYX gotcha covered concealer is very light on the skin.
- The cream spreads and blends evenly all over the face.
- You can hide the skin issues with the help of this concealer in less time than others.
- The packaging is very compact. Therefore, it is easy to carry around.
- The cream has an oily touch. So it may feel a little greasy on oily skin.
- Your face may look cakey if the concealer is over-applied.
Here’s a video explaining NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer
NYX has indeed got us covered with the most efficient concealer for daily use. I have recommended the NYX gotcha referred concealer to most of my friends. So far, I have received no complaints from any of them. I am sure you’ll love this product after the very first use. NYX might have kept some faces upset with the oil-like texture cream. But the gotcha covered concealer is best for those who enjoy the luxury of having an oil-free skin.
