Traditional braids are also known as three-strand braids. We have been familiar with them since our childhood. Our school time memories will never complete without the twin braids. The three-strand braid is simple to make. Divide your hair into three strands and juggle them alternatively in a repeated manner. Pass the leftmost strand over the middle lot. Now use the same technique on the right braid. Repeat the steps till you get a full braid and tie it with a rubber band.

A fishtail braid is an elegant option for your bridal makeup. It is not limited to weddings only though. You can light up any red carpet with a fishtail braid. Part your hair in two and take two strands, each from the outsides of each part. Use these strands to create a swivel design around both divisions to create a fish-scale like a pattern. Braid your hair like the traditional braid to keep the design in place.
French Braid has all that elegance from France. To make a french braid, part your hair in three sections. Pass each section under the centre strand alternatively. The process is like the traditional braid, but instead of moving your hair over the central braid, you roll under it. Also, keep adding more width to the sides as you weave your braid. The pattern gives the french braid it’s signature pulled-out look. The French Braid is perfect for parties.
The 3-D braid
The 3-D braid is a rendition of the three-strand braid that uses an additional strand of hair. Therefore, some people call it the four-strand braid. It is known as the 3-D braid because it gives a dramatic effect to the twists of the weave. The process is a little more complicated than usual braids, so let’s start by making four equal parts of the hair. For the sake of easiness, we can number them 1,2,3, and 4. Start by moving the strand one under the 2nd and over the 3rd. Then slide the 4th section under the 3rd and over the 2nd strand. Finally, flip the 2nd strand over the 3rd one and under the 4th. Repeat the step by renumbering the strands. Yes, we know it isn’t effortless and requires patience. But once you see yourself in the mirror, you will surely turn heads wherever you go.

The milkmaid braid gives you a Disney princess-like look. You can bring out your inner cuteness with a milkmaid braid. It is also known as halo braids as it circles the top of the head like a halo. The process is relatively simple. Start by making two small braided pigtails of your hair at the back. Now bring these braids to the top of your head and fix them with the help of a pin. Ta-Da!! You are ready to enchant your prince charming.
Rope Twisted Braid
If you are out of time and need a basic braid for regular style, rope twisted braid is your choice. Tie your hair on the top with a hair elastic and divide the hair into two strands.
